“The proposal arrived with every fitting named by brand and model. Five years on, the membrane is still perfect and the warranty paperwork is still in the drawer.”

“Fixed price held to the dollar. They flagged a hidden leak under the slab on day three and quoted the repair in writing before they touched it.”

“We did the main bathroom, ensuite and laundry on one program. One crew, one waterproofing visit, one final clean. Seamless.”

“Bathline are the only Sydney bathroom company we spoke to who explained the AS 3740 certificate before we asked. Now we know why it matters.”

“Three quotes, one Bathline, two cheap. The cheap ones were $11k less. The Bathline one was on a fixed-price contract with a seven-year warranty. We went with Bathline.”

How it runs

What happens next, step by step.

1

Consultation

A 90-minute in-home meeting. We walk the room, talk through how you use the bathroom, and book the design phase.

2

Design and selections

Measured plans, 3D visuals, and a guided selections appointment at our suppliers. You sign off the design before anything is ordered.

3

Fixed-price contract

Inclusions itemised, materials named, start and handover dates written in. One price, locked.

4

Strip-out and rough-in

Demolition, plumbing rough-in, electrical rough-in, frame adjustments. Site protection through the rest of your home.

5

Waterproofing and tiling

AS 3740 membrane, certificate signed and filed. Then full-height tiling by our in-house tiler.

6

Fit-off and handover

Vanity, screen, tapware and accessories installed. Final clean, walk-through, and the warranty paperwork in your hand.

Why us

The quote is the job, line by line.

What our itemised quote locks in, and the shortcuts a cheap operator takes.

The 7-line quote
  1. 1 On-site walk-through. We measure the room, photograph every surface and confirm scope before any number lands on the page.
  2. 2 Named selections. Tiles, vanity, tapware and shower screen specified by brand and model. Never "or equivalent".
  3. 3 Fixed-price proposal. One line item per inclusion, one final number. Locked before the contract is signed.
  4. 4 Waterproofing compliance. AS 3740 waterproofing membrane, applied by a licensed waterproofer, with a signed certificate of compliance.
  5. 5 In-house build crew. Carpentry, tiling, plumbing and electrical run by our own licensed trades. One crew, one accountability line.
  6. 6 Defined timeline. Start date, milestone dates and handover date written into the contract. Variations are itemised before they happen.
  7. 7 Seven-year written warranty. Workmanship warranted for seven years from handover, sitting on top of the statutory NSW Home Building cover.
If a quote doesn’t show these lines, you can’t compare it, and you don’t know what’s been cut.

What you get from us

  • Fixed-price proposal, signed before work starts.
  • Waterproofing certificate of compliance, signed by a licensed waterproofer.
  • Tiles, vanity and tapware named by brand and model.
  • In-house team. The crew that quotes is the crew that builds.
  • Seven-year written workmanship warranty.

Cowboy tells

  • Day-rate quote, then variations bleed it past budget.
  • Waterproofing "on the day", no certificate, no name on the membrane.
  • Generic spec sheet, "PC sums" left open for the showroom to settle.
  • Subcontracted everything, nobody on site responsible.
  • Twelve-month warranty buried in clause 14.

Watch this before you book

The questions every customer asks, answered once.

How much does a bathroom renovation cost in Sydney?
A full main-bathroom renovation in Sydney typically lands between $32,000 and $58,000 on a fixed-price contract, with premium selections taking that to $60,000+. An ensuite refresh is closer to $22,000 to $38,000. The estimator on our pricing page gives you a range in under a minute.
Is the price actually fixed?
Yes. Every Bathline contract is a fixed-price proposal with every inclusion itemised before you sign. Variations are quoted in writing before they happen, never absorbed into the build.
What is a certificate of compliance for waterproofing?
It is a signed document from a licensed waterproofer confirming the AS 3740 membrane meets the standard. On every Bathline project the certificate is filed and given to you at handover, with the waterproofer named in your contract.
How long is a Sydney bathroom renovation, end to end?
Four to six weeks of design and selections, then five to seven weeks on site for a standard main bathroom. Start and handover dates are written into the contract before you sign.
Do you handle strata approvals for apartment bathrooms?
Yes. We work with your owners corporation, lodge the works notification, share insurance certificates, and program demolition inside the building’s noise window. Strata approvals add four to six weeks of lead time, planned into the program.
What does the seven-year warranty actually cover?
It covers our workmanship across the build: tiling, fit-off, joinery and finishes. It sits on top of the statutory NSW Home Building Compensation cover and the AS 3740 waterproofer’s membrane warranty, which are separate and longer.
